I will eventually get headers, but plan on doing that later. I want the kooks LT's with the catted x and pypes mid muffler exhaust. that's is a plan for a later date though.

 

Hey man, it's weird but I'm gettin 5g on the 5th... I can't get the supercharger out of my head, so I'm going to do that as my first mod.

I'd really like to get exhaust, CAI and wheels, but I don't know when I'm gonna have five thousand again, so I'm dumping it all into the SC.

Either way, you're gonna have some nice stuff in a couple weeks...

 

I would put those 5g's in a savings or something that will make some money and wait til i had enough for a whipple.

 

S/C as your first mod? You worried about traction at all? Some suspension mods would be a smart purchace first imo.

 

it was my first mod, the car especially at the track will be a little inconsistant with the stock control arms, and wheels and tires but i still managed to get a 1.9 60' and 12.3 out of it

I'm getting 20's... thanks for the offer though. If i get a supercharger, it will be the paxton novi 2200 from brenspeed. I can get everything i need for $4,500. But i really want rims. I can't decide if a supercharger would keep me happy enough. I really care about looks too! Plus, i will need new tires in a few months anyway.

It's gonna suck having to wait to lower my car, get the aesthetics I want installed (CDC Agg chin spoiler, Roush rear louvers, etc), but I can pop that stuff on one paycheck at a time.

The supercharger is going to make me happiest knowing that every ricer thinks I'm a stock mustang until...rev, rev...and then I'm gone! Leaving him to think about how pretty his wheels and wing are... That's what I want more than anything right now.

I want a supercharger really bad, but my only delima is that i never race anyone and i never go to the track. I just really want the power! With rims and body stuff(along with 4:10's, alum. ds, short throw shifter) I will love the way my car looks and will get more complements from other people.

Make sure they have the problem worked out with the hurst first. Recall comeing.

Lower it and get the rims, you will be happy. It makes the car look awesome. Then get 4.10s you will love those.

they have a badass deal going on the saleen.
that blower can put you over 650rwhp with supporting mods.
its just as good as the whipple or kenne bell to 15psi.

 

I was looking at the saleen and am kinda impressed at it the more i study stuff about it, but it is kinda pricy. The best deal i've found for it is $4,300. I can get the supercharger i really want (which is the paxton) for $4,500. I decided that if i could find a deal on a supercharger that i want for $4,000, i will buy... but if not i'm getting rims, 4:10s, lowering kit, alum. ds, and short throw shifter.

If your going with the paxton... then you all ready have the money. Just seal the deal my man. The power it has is just awesome for the price.

 

Everyone wants more power...even if they don't really need it. I did a big chunk of go-fast mods when I first got my stang, think imma do some cosmetic stuff next with some suspension. Then once I got a good platform to work with imma bolt on some power, probably a whipple or KB.

 

I'm getting some money on the 4th and need a gameplan. Can't decide what i really want to do, so all your suggestions are needed. I will be getting around $5,000 and i plan on putting most of it into the stang.:yes

The only thing that i have decided for sure is american racing rims. That is going to be around $1,500. What else should i do? I was thinking BMR lowering kit, spyder shaft, 4:10's, hurst short throw shifter(don't want mgw so don't suggest). As far as body goes, i was thinking xenon ducktail, side scoops and window scoops along with a cdc front grille. What do you guys think?

I mean I don't see too many people running vortechs here on s197s, but the option exists to get a supercharger for the money you have at your disposal.

I don't like them because they take away power in the lower part of the powerband(or the opposite) They don't really add power, the just move it around.

 

I just found an awesome deal on some rims! There is a guy here locally that contacted me. He is selling his chrome 20x9 shelby razors with nitto nt555's on them for $1,000! He has only put about 1,000 miles on them, and is selling them because they are too heavy. He said he wants to go with 18's instead.

I want a centri. charger, but would get a differant one if the right deal came along. Plus, it's not like i'm gonna be doing much at the track. My mods are for what gives me the most fun:yes. That why i think i will enjoy 4:10's the most.

 

To each his own, but it sounds like you are being a BOB. Baller On a Budget. Don't get me wrong, I don't have thousnands of $'s to throw around whenever I want, but some of the things you are saying contradict themselves. So you want Dubs, lol, and you can get them from someone is selling them because they are too heavy. They aren't going to weigh any less on your car. So why put performance mods on? Just finish by getting a fart can, underbody neon, and some vinyls. lol.

 

I'm not contradicting myself. I want 20's... just because someone else cares about their track time more than i do doesn't mean that i wont like them. What the **** is a baller on a budget anyway? Don't we all have a budget?

 

It seems one thing is for certain and that is you want the 4:10’s. So why not purchase those get them installed and enjoy for now. I guarantee you will have permagrinn until you are able to make up your mind about your other purchases.
