musky smell

I get a musky smell when i first start the car and ac blows in my face... only for 2-5 seconds than goes away... already replaced cabin air filter... Also dont know what happened to that clanging sound but it got warmer and now i dont hear it... so frustrating!

High humidity environment ,I'd guess moisture trapped in the evaporator and it just grew... I don't know how to fix it... Get a new one? Not too sure though, never dealt with it... Someone is sure to go into more detail, I hope...

I suppose you could remove the filter and spray some Lysol or other disinfectant cleaner in there with the A/C on full. You might get a lemony scent for a few days but it might kill off whatever is in there. Can't think of anything else except for swapping out the ducting.

Like BIGCHRISS197 said, under the plastic panel at the base of the windshield on the outside of the car (passenger side) there's a cavity with a small drain hole in the bottom. That thing gets clogged with debris like small leaf particles and ****. When it's clogged it allows rain water to spill over into the passenger side floor under the glove box. Feel the carpet down there after it rains. If it's wet...that's your problem.
