Well guys .. figured I'd throw one of these up for everyone. Spent every spare hourafter work the last 3 days installing the ON3 setup. Pretty simple and no major issues ... just some minor exhaust leaks I'm working on. Dropping the car off at the tuner's in the morning.

ENGINE DETAILS:
MMR900, Trick Flow Heads, 10:1 CR, Stage 3 Blower Cams (NOT Turbo)
Trick Flow Intake Manifold, ON3 70mm Single Turbo System @ 12psi
Dual Cobra Pumps w/ 40A BAP, 60lb injectors

Previously I made 520whp on 10psi with Procharger P1SC

Runs will be on 93 Octane PUMP gas ... in TX where it's a boiling hot!

hmmm....

573hp
550trq

sounds like a sick build. let us know tomorrow!!!

Subbed, I am currently doing a similar build.

MMR 900 or 1000 Longblock
Trickflow heads
Eddie intake, rails, low profile lower intake tube, 90mm throttle body
Comp 76 or 80mm turbo
MMR stage 3 Turbo cams or similar

I bet your car will do 600whp if the cams perform

How is the ON3 piping and hot side? You get the foward facing kit? What inch piping is it going from turbo to intercooler and motor? Overall how what was your experience with putting the kit on?

You might want to look into the stage 2 cams. Stage 3s would put your shift points at 8k rpm or more with that intake.

EDIT: thought you said MHS not MMR. I'm not sure what the mmr specs are but if they are anything like MHS expect very high rpm shifts.

What size is the exhaust housing on your turbo? Sounds like a pretty decent setup all around.

I think the turbo, if on the small side will be your power restriction. Have you looked into a return style fuel system? It might make more power safely with one.

Not sure how the cams will affect it.... OP do you have the forward facing headers kit?!?!

#6 ·
Yes, I have the Forward Facing kit. Hotside piping wasn't all tha bad like everyon says. The key is to finger thread every bolt first, then tighten. Theworst part was the oil filter relocation. Running the lines without touching exhaust pipes was an art!

Intercooler/Cold side fit PERFECT! Was VERY impressed. Its 2.5" from turbo to intercooler and then 3" from intercooler to throttle body.

Looking forward to the results. Should be interesting to ser how thosr cams do on a turbo setup. I say mid 500s but a later spool. Think the cams might prevent the turbo from spoiling quicker.

I'm in Copperas Cove. Jeff @ Central Texas Performance is tuning it. Right now he's setting up base tune for the new MAF and everything. He'll call me when ready to make some power pulls and I'll head over with the video camera.

It's a .68 AR. Yes, the turbo is a bit small ... but upgrading later shouldn't be difficult. The next step is to go return fuel .. cause I'm pretty sure my setup won't support a whole heck of alot more. But in just wasn't in the budget at the moment.

I think you will be maxing your power at about 560 with that turbo. Fuel system probably wont hold more than 600 safely. So overall it seems well balanced.

Good luck and let me know what you make, I'll be getting mine tuned soon. It will be interesting to see the power differences between the old and new style
Kits. My build is a little more conservative than yours but should net similar numbers I hope.

Dude on corral hit 680whp with the ON3 kit and the MP 70mm turbo
forged internals
pi intake
stage 2 MHS pi heads
stage 2 MHS turbo cams
5-spd

Uggg. Sorry anyone who was waiting on #'s. The tuner ran into some hiccups getting some MAF stuff right so he's holding onto her until he straightens it out. Hopefully will have somethign to report tomorrow.

Yeah, I was being a little dumb ... but its a big debate on lots of forums. The quality of O3 kits that is. The turbo included in th kit is far from top of the line but its also better than those Ebay China turbos. Plus, u can always change it out. I really didn't have any issues with fitment. They did actually send 1x to many 3" Vband clamps and 1x short 2.5". That gave me a minor exhaust leak at that joint but I got it mostly sealed and will be getting a new clamp soon. I have no leaks from the oil relocation, feed or drain lines. The cold intake side was fantastic and I have really no complaints. I installed the UPR KMember a few weeks earlier and gave me a few fitment problems ... but that's expected and got it all worked out in an afternoon.

I'm really hoping for 600whp even. We'll see what it'll crank out. I'm getting impatient!

Very interested in this one. Hoping for some good numbers dude. I'm looking at doing a ON3 kit on mine. Very similar build as you right down to the intake, only I have a bit more compression and water/meth. At the moment I am getting ready to install a built 3650 from promotion, so it maybe a little while before I can get to the turbo.

Didn't you upgrade your P1SC to a P1SC-2?

#25 ·
I DID! But it wasn't a happy ending. After upgrading the impeller I was making GOBS more boost. Where before I could only squeeze 10psi at redline with the straight-vane ... I was making 14psi by 5,000RPM. Unfortunately before I ever got it dyno-tuned ... the bearings failed and ruined the new impeller's blades. (Prolly faulty install by local machinist) I was so frustrated with the whole blower thing and it was worthless broken, I just sent it off for a fresh rebuild with the OEM impeller and sold it to get something with more potential. Here's a picture of the P1SC after the bearing failed.

Hope my results don't scare others off from giving it a shot. I just had bad luck and was just ready to move on to a new Power Adder.

This is cool man. I just started a thread about my motor build. Im going to be purchasing a On3 kit very soon to. Glad you had sucess with it so far. A few minor issues are expected, and I can gladly accept that. Good luck man. Def interested in your numbers!

I might have to drive to fort hood to see this.
Or we could meet at a local track in temple....
