Something strange happened today , I replaced the 1yo ford racing plugs to brisk plugs gapped at .32 and my car is running like sh** . I did not replace the coils so that might be a slight possibility . I did however lable the coils to install in the same order .
The car will hesitate /sputter under heavy throttle/wot . Any other ideas or could I have Fd something up? .Thanks .

Have you pulled them back out to check them out?

I once had a broken insulator. When you held the plug up it looked normal but as soon as you turned it upside down to put it in the motor the ceramic insulator would slide down and cover the electrode.

You could also try gapping them down to .028. That is where I used to run mine. Have you given a thought to side gapping them? It's an old scho technique but it can help in certain situations.

They all look like this , looks ok to me but I don't know

Double check gaps and make sure the insulators are intacted. Then move on to your ignition coils. Check the plastic connectors on the pigtails. If you break one of those little tabs off they don't maintain the proper electrical connection.

I did go over everything again checked the connectors and checked the gap and the insulators are in place . Could it be that the old coils are not supplying enough spark ? They look like the stock oem ones , and have been in there for ~70k miles I think . Best thing would be all new coils right ?

Did you torque them down with a torque wrench? My brisk plugs ran like **** after installing them because they werent tightened all the way.

I didn't torque them down , what's are the torque specs? , I'll re tighten them later on today with a torque wrench

Did not get a chance to check the torque spec today but I will torque them to spec tomorrow morning. In case that is not it what else should I check ?

Should I replace the boots before moving on to the coils ?

I'm using my phone so the pics are small, but it sorta looks like the gap on your Brisk plug is smaller than the Ford plugs.

They are , fr plugs were gapped at .35 and brisk plugs at .32 . On the fr plug the electrode is kind of thin so it's hard to tell from the picture.
