coulda end of having bent one of the shift forks

 

Anyway to really check this? I'm pissed cause I just got my 4.10s in and haven't even gotten a chance to romp on it yet.

Yea Im hoping that's all it is. What's the best way to add fluid if you don't mind me asking? I don't have a pump or access to a pump. I've heard you can put it in through the shifter. Is that true?

 

I have a little hand pump that fits into a quart size jug, or gallon jug and i use that to add fluid into my mustang.

Oh and also I forgot to mention sometimes when I take off it will vibrate like a mother and feels like the whole motor or trans is loose. But I know it's not

 

youll need to take a look at your transmission mount, and your motor mounts while your under there adding fluid.

 

Blehhhhhhhh like I said earlier. I just wanted to have some fun with the 4.10s and I've yet to lol

 

Just make sure your trans. fluid level is proper, don't just add fluid. over filling can cause foaming and give you shifting concerns as well. If your fluid is good, give the trans. manufacturer a call and see if they have an advice.

 

Thank you sir! I plan to drain and refill the fluid and check the mounts and go from there.

 

Just pull the top plug and the shifter. Put something under the tranny so that the overflow oil will run out, add 1/4-1/2 a qt at a time until you see it run out then stop and wait for the excess to run out before you plug it. Should be good to go... obviously its easier if you have 2 people.

Check your clutch adjustment also... Make sure you have full pedal travel and that its totally disengaging. Good luck man
