looking forward to hearing your experience. when I first wanted to upgrade my brakes, everyone said the cobra upgrade wasn't worth It, and to upgrade the pads/rotors/lines would be just as good and more cost effective. (turns out very few if any actually had cobra brakes who were heading that torch as fact)

when I upgraded to slotted rotors/ hawk
pads and SS lines it roughly cost me $300.

when I bought the front cobra kit from a guy locally.
-one remanufactured caliper
-one own caliper
-new oem rotors BNIB
- Wagner pads
- SS lines
$275.... dreams really do come true.
I'm in a similar boat to you on the cost end. I looked at doing drilled/slotted rotors, nice ceramic pads, and SS lines on my stock brakes, but ended up paying $250 for Mach 1 calipers, with SS lines, and a recent rebuild on both OEM calipers. Another $70 for good pads and stock style rotors and I couldn't be happier. I spend more on the rear conversion kit, which probably wont be nearly as easy to notice, and needs a lot more work to do (remove axles to swap backing plates, etc.) but since I don't have ABS I want to match my rears to the fronts a little better, cause right now I have a pretty heavy front bias.

finally Finished tuning NA today... its finally done...

As far as the brakes I am pretty happy with them so far they seem to get the job done.

I got a very good NA break in and got all my small issues sorted out so its time to get back with some boost.

I ordered a new SINGLE kit this week, But still wrestling with what brand turbo to go with there are so many good options and i want to try a new brand. Ive got it nailed down to Borg warner and the BMF 7675 from on3 Ive been hearing good things about this turbo.

I will be running E-85 this time since we have some locally to me now. should be pretty much what i had before but without all the Bullshit issues i had with that garbage leaking ass turbo kit.

What do you all think about this new coolant expansion design? I used the stock cap on this one and 3.5 inch tubing.

I really like the coolant reservoir and the oil catch can. Looks really clean and shiny it's eye candy. What intake is that? Did you make it also?

Thank You Its a Edelbrock intake I bought that thing many years ago. Its hard to believe my car is going on 19 years old and im still messing with it Lol. should be getting a 78MM billett turbo late next week and wrapping this up pretty soon.

The good news is its very street able my major issue seemed to be on hot days the fuel pumps would heat up on long drives and start whining pretty loud. These new Walbro pumps im running seem to perform like Return less pumps but are indeed return. I have not heard of anyone running them and they are not being advertised for some reason but they are the ****.

Ive been riding on3 for a couple months on the release date for their twin 2V kit that sits in the engine bay but it looks like that kit wont be hitting till around 2019.. I was holding out for that kit but couldn't wait anymore and ended back in a single.

The on3 kit was very good quality the hot side was no less then half thicker then my old CG kit and everything just bolted right in without any issues.

I ended up using my inter cooler setup and cold side but used all their hot side. I was pleased with the kit and my car seems to run very good even though its not tuned for WOT ive been driving it all over the place enjoying it.

The only issue I did have ended up being the flex pipe but they sent me another one after figuring out it had a leak.

Shout out to my Facebook buddies for all the help and advice.

You are the only person I've read or seen to ditch CG for an ON3 setup. I feel like if you had gone mild steel in the first place you would never had the issues you had.

I like the way the on3 setup is designed as well its alot easier to work on other parts of the car too if needed.

So did you ever get your car up and going?

Got the 7875 Billet turbo on and started tuning this evening. should be done hopefullly within a week or so..

one thing this picture didnt show was i swapped the 3.5" intercooler pipe for a new one I welded up with the MAF moved up further for a better signal.

Ill be hitting the Dyno pretty soon for some 93 octane numbers then back a separate day for E-85.. Ill keep everyone posted on the date and it will be very soon since the tuning is going well

You’re auto right? I don’t think pump is going to take you as far as you’d like. I have to make the switch to e85 or race gas

I imagine that very top was a tough job. Simple in theory, pain in the ass in reality.

Sweet injectors. One day if I live near E85 I will convert my lines to PTFE and get those ID injectors. Looking forward to seeing your pump gas numbers.

Yes it was a major PITA took me about 12 hours with the help of a friend but it turned out great.

I am thinking my pump gas numbers to be around 500 since im only at 14PSI.

Good to see that you didn't give up on this car. I recently redid my entire supercharger setup, swapped from an Air to Air intercooler setup to a vortech A/W aftercooler with an AFCO GT500 heat exchanger and pump. Car was running out of fuel at 4700 RPM's yesterday so 60lb injectors and 340lph fuel pump got thrown on and it hits the dyno again tomorrow. Was seeing around 389 rwhp yesterday so with the fuel hoping to hit 410-420 tomorrow. Car has been needing a retune since i moved back to California 4 years ago.
