get rid of ALL the emissions junk, tuck your coil, and other wires on the driver side in the fender, and move the battery to the truck.

there is a guy called "AmostStock" on another forum that went nuts hiding wires, and showing you how to do it. he showed with his dash removed he routed the main harness wiring that is on the firewall into the car itself, behind the dash, to hide it.


here is a crappy picture of my engine bay. No a/c, emissions, and a little bit of wire hidiing. alternator hung low to get it a little more out of sight, and show off the heads.

allot of people start by pulling the smog stuff ie egr, egr solenoid, tad/tab, heat pipes to the rear of each cylinder head, and all associated vacuum lines. Delete the smog pump and run a smaller serp belt.

Most people eventually move the starter solenoid from the driver side fender to inside the fender and out of sight but some wires may need to be lengthened

How should I go about pluggin' those holes in the back of the heads when I take out the smog equipment?

that's the plug you need.. don't know the size off hand though but google "thermactor plug mustang" and you'll get the size you need.. then hit up home depot or whatever

Are you planning on filling the holes and repainting the fire wall and inner fender wells? Cuz i think it looks incomplete if you just leave the holes there.

The pipes that you take off, you can normally cut off the ends, turn them around and bolt them back on.

The easiest way to put it is, off everything that is not needed to run the car and the accesories your going to keep. Everything else can go. That means battery in trunk vacume tree, wiper motor, AC if you dont need it, smog and all emissions crap. cruise control, ect ect. move the rad overflow, fuse box.

 

Thats the cleanest EFI engine bay ive seen yet

Did you take pics throughout the process??

I just tore my 95 appart thanks to a minor lil'accident and while its apart im going to do some cleanup and cleanout!!!! got lots of questions for you and where you place things and how you did some stuff.

Also, where did you get that upper radiator hose?? that thing looks sick!!!!

I do have some pics of the process and I will help you in anyway I can. The rad hoses are from Mac if i recall. I did modify them a bit and used some other hardware to achieve the look. PM me your questions and ill see what I can do to help ya.

 

I did the a/c delete, power steering relocation, smog delete, etc etc. Took out some unneccesary wiring... It still looks wayyy too cluttered. Ill take pics tomarrow, post em in here, and ask you guys what I can/cannot rip out/plug.

It looks better... But still too damn cluttered.

I bet you are VERY proud to open your hood Opal. That just looks SUPER clean. E3Sean's and 86Notch's are awesome too, but they cheated by going carb and got to eliminate so much
