Tried starting the car again. Same result. No luck.

Tried with various throttle positions, didn't seem to affect it. Tried unplugging the MAF, no difference.

No codes. Exhaust smelled pretty rich, but it was burned, not just fuel vapor. I definitely have power at the COP's. There is no backfire out the intake or exhaust.

Things I'm thinking about checking-
Crank pos sensor
Cam pos sensor (I can swap out from the old motor)
Fuel pressure
COP's
Tune
Injector adapters

I don't think it's cam timing. Even if I was 180 deg out of phase on one bank like Nick it would start but run very rough. Besides, I put both chains on at the same time as per Ford instructions (dot to dot).

Any ideas?
 
How long has the vehicle been sitting? can you hear the pump coming on when you cycle the key?

It's been sitting all winter. New motor.

When I key on the dual GT pumps prime with a vengeance. I even key on several times to make sure it's primed due to my PPRV delete.

Any chance the rails might need to be bled? I know that's a pretty off the wall possibility as I'm sure the air would have been out of the rails by now.

Headers and Tuner ordered. hopefully they will be here by the April 4th. i doubt it but we can all hope right?

I got my tuner for $80 or $100 back then. I can't remember because it's been a while! Lol I'm more of a "give it to me for dirt cheap price or you can keep it" type of guy... :lol If I feel it'd be too heavy on my wallet, I don't gotta have it.

That's probably why I'm more of a "look fast" guy...:( but at least I keep them 8ers and JDM sissies wanting to race me everytime we're at a red light and they just end up getting disppointed because I make them feel like they're not worthy but the truth is... I probably just don't stand a chance. :lmao

All it does is slightly advance the timing. You can still run 87 with it.



I'm researching on megasquirt systems. I like speed density setups and I could completely eliminate the stock computer. I'm also thinking about getting a 65mm turbo and running about 10psi.

I'll be going against what everyone says, but that's how I roll. High compression, bit turbo, 4:10 gears.
Acording to my tuner, it will work fine with that combo, and put down 500 easy.

soooo my power steering pump has been whining like crazy for the last few months...worse then usual. i thought it was time the pump was needing to be replaced...well last week i was forced to replace my alternator and battery....the weird thing is..since replacement my power steering pump hasn't made the slightest whine. just thought i'd share since it's weird

Umm, sprayed down my tie rods, and 02 sensor with PB Blaster today. Next week is my last at school & a free week in the shop everyday, so I'm going to take advantage and align my car, balance my tires, replace my bad 02 sensor, and weathercoat the bottom of the car. Lol, while I have access to the lifts. All of this would be a pain in the ass in my driveway.

pulley was fine...which is why this is weird
