With a da and glaze you'd have to try to do any damage and even then I doubt it could be done with a glaze also if they're not experienced with a polisher than more than likely they are already swirled out lol
i originally posted to a guy wanting to know bout swirls, doubt if hes even reading this anymore but we can argue about it for weeks if ya want! hand glaze by hand removes swirls.....3m swirl remover with a buffer/polisher/da/porter cable...etc, removes swirls!:gayfight2:lets do this, lol!!

ROFL the DA works at 1500 - 6000 OPM...No one and I mean no one can get their hand to do it that good...A glaze is a glaze is a glaze...

Straight from the horses mouth

"A gentle moisturizer, especially for beautifying freshly painted surfaces!

During the first 30 days of the paint’s infancy, until the paint has had time to cure, you’ll probably want to keep your car looking showroom fresh! Without waxing? 3M originally developed Imperial Hand Glaze for situations like these. Perfectly safe and nourishing for brand new paint, Imperial Hand Glaze was formulated with a unique combination of paint glossifiers (no silicones or waxes!), to provide a brilliant, deep wet-look shimmer! Completely clear coat safe, 3M Imperial Hand Glaze feeds new paint to enhance the shine from the inside, out. Apply it frequently until the paint is cured.

After the curing period is complete, use Imperial Hand Glaze as a prepping step before any wax application. Probably not the best choice for worn or faded paint jobs, because it is so gentle (you’ll want to use a heavier polish, possibly with fillers or even abrasives, depending on the condition of the paint) it is superior for bringing out the gleam in new and like-new paint jobs. After application, your paint’s surface will be breathtaking as Imperial Hand Glaze unlocks the shine!

Hand Glaze offers no protection, regardless of how stunning it is! Seal in this stunning appearance with 3M’s Perfect-It Show Car Paste Wax. It adds to the visual appeal, all the while creating a barrier between your beautiful paint and the raging elements, UV rays, airborne pollutants and everyday dirt and dust. Imperial Hand Glaze and Show Car Paste Wax are probably my favorite choice for cost-effective, true value protection for your paint.

To use: Start with a clean, freshly washed and dried vehicle. Shake the Imperial Hand Wax well, and apply to a clean microfiber towel or applicator pad. Using a circular motion, apply the glaze to one vehicle panel at a time, carefully spreading it in uniform consistency. With another dry, clean microfiber towel gently wipe clean. Polish entire car to a brilliant luster. Regular use will have your car looking its show-ready best for years!"

3M Imperial Hand Glaze is a gentle moisturizer, especially for beautifying freshly painted surfaces!

It has NO CORRECTION ability...It is a glaze that fills in the scratches but offers no protection and needs to be topped with a sealant...It is not a correction tool; it is a cover up tool...

From 3M

"Non-silicone, non-wax hand glaze. It is used by hand to refine and fill swirl marks after machine polishing. This product has been formulated to work on all colors and can be painted over."

3M? Hand Glaze, 05990, 1 Quart 946ml, 6 per case:3M? Hand Glaze, 05990, 1 Quart 946ml, 6 per case

Again no removal ability just a glaze filler...Does the same thing that Chemical Guys Black Light, Poor Boys Black Hole, Poor Boys White Diamonf and other glazes do...Fill no correction...

Even the untrained eye can still see the scratches are there but have had some edges smoothed and the rest filled with a filler...

my car was swirled im assuming cause of abrasive rags, which in turn put thousands of little scratches all over it.....i wetsanded my whole car, buffed and polished it...which left swirls after polishing, rubbed on hand glaze by hand and swirls were gone!
Put it under a halogen...Take an IPA mix and a nice clean MF and wipe down a section of the paint that you feel is perfect...The IPA will remove the fillers and you will see the scratches again...

i have a headache:facepalm:3m hand glaze worked for my black paint, removed all the swirls, so im gonna go take some tylenol creep on outta this thread.
LOL easy way to shut everyone up is just to try the IPA...I bet you see sanding trails...Not knocking you just trying to explain to ya that the last "by hand" compound and polish that actually corrected the paint was something over 100 hours of total labor...

i know its easier to buff out scratches and some blemishes with a buffer but not everyone has a da and some dont have any experience using one. ive had buffers leave swirls that i follow with hand glaze and they go away pretty easy!!

Because the hand glaze fills them lol

Straight from 3m it says it does not posses any correction capabilities...Therefor it cant remove swirls and scratches

ur right im wrong im gay and no one should ever listen to my swirl removal advice, lol! hes good:)
Im not trying to do anything of the sorts...I am just telling you what the product is doing per the manufacturers information and what we all know they do...
