God must have something against me. Put the scoop on. 3M taped it all around, had to holes drilled and had the bolts in. Thought it was all good. Went and tested it at 65mph since thats the speed i was going to be going for a while tomorrow. And then it proceeded to rip off, go under my car, and then i run over it. Woot. ****ing. Awesome. Now i have to go fill the drill holes and paint them. Which, won't match at all. I'm out quite a bit of money right now.. and to top it all off, my brother isn't selling me the cobra till THE ****ING SPRINGTIME. That topped it all off right there.. and i even gave him the 3000$ downpayment thinking i would have it in less than a month.. i hate everything and want to just go crawl in a hole and watch sad movies that make me cry. :(

Ugh, that's painful to see man... At least it went under the car and didn't slam your windshield, or worse... someone else's car.

sold the sixxer today. $4500. pretty good for a sixxer with 118K miles.

Will never forget it.

Behind the shifter is a brushed aluminum tag that Says Mustang, has a running horse, and lists the VIN, Build Date and Owner. A guy in British Colombia was making the for Mach 1 owners and had a GT and a generic mustang version of them so I had one made. I dont think he makes them anymore though. here is a bit better pic of it

i'm so jealous of that thing. it's so little but it just makes the car seem a lot more prestigious or something.

if anyone knows where to get one of these tell me. i love it.

Whyxitx's sixxer is so fast that the hood scoop comes off when he drives. How could anyone say that isn't fast.

Too soon?

Looks like its just silk screen printed onto a piece of brushed aluminum. Get a piece of the brushed aluminum and bring it to a place that does screen printing and tell em what you want on it. Shouldnt be too much. Might wanna spray some clear enamel on it for longevity but thats up to you.

What. The. ****.

I feel bad for sending you a hoodscoop that failed, but I have never seen one break in that location. Should have just had you drive out here and you could have had the whole hood, scoop and all.

Well we were going to look at more cars today, but the bf's front driver's side tire blew. Needless to say, he now has to buy a new tire, and the wait continues! :( Rotten luck.

Pics will be posted by GreenShift in a new thread about tire exploding.

funny that you say that. My sixxer had ABS and traction control. My GT has neither of those :lol

Don't feel bad about it man.. it's just my luck that it happened. As soon as i got in the car and went to drive these were my exact thoughts. "well, this isn't going to go well.. it'll end up just like my side scoop."

... yup. only thing is, these are more of a pain in the ass to find than the side scoops are..

Thats shitty man, i wouldnt just throw it away. Its definitely fixable. Next time put some bolts it it rather than hope double sided tape holds it. If you use double sided tape you better make sure you wipe everything with a wax and grease remover or rubbing alcohol first. Then get some adhesion promoter and the good 3m double sided tape. My saleen spoiler is held on by 2 puny bolts and double sided tape. I had to take it off once to realign it since it started to sag and i peeled paint. If you put it on right it will hold but dont rely on it with a hood scoop
