Looking at that photo, that building does have good lighting. But you would really have to look and tell.

Son1c wax at it again. I love the beading effects of it, and it smells so good. Was this the red or white?

Hey man, wasnt me lol.

I have a ton of work to do on it, trying to get paying jobs out of the way, its gonna take 2 full days to do my 5.0, honestly, it might take 3 because im layering coatings and coating the wheels. Gonna be fun, i may wait until may and take a couple vacation days to be sure im not rushed. lol

Mk. . . Here ya go Modded!

FG400 vs. HD Adapt!

Picture of what was used (picture excludes green BNS Foam pad and Rubbing alcohol mixture for stripping):

Also what we are starting with from 2 led light sources (wife's chevy volt roof after a dealership wash):

Here's my idea for comparison. HD Adapt and FG400 each on Megs MF cutting pad 3 pressure passes each, 1 less pressure pass each. 1.5x1.5 foot section each. Making everything the same here to make it as fair and as true as possible. This paint is not soft, but is not as hard as my diamond like clear coat on my VW r32. . .

After fg400:

After Adapt:

Adapt finishing down slightly better while both removing the all the necessary defects for the cutting step after 3 passes with pressure and 1 with little to no pressure on speed 4 on the Rupes 21 with a 5" backing plate.

Sadly I took a video that showed these results more apparently but my batter in my camera died and the video wasn't saved. . .

At this point, on this paint, using this method, similar/sufficient cut and Adapt finishing down better with less oil/filling at the end.

Next I wanted to see solely how the products finished. If you only had 1 product to use which would it be. . . I had 2 green BNS pads and did the same experiment with speed 3 and 3 pressure passes then down to speed 2.5~ with 1 pass.

After fg400:

After Adapt:

They finished down with that pad/pressure/etc almost identically. Just about perfect and what I would consider LSP ready for darn near any 1-2 step job I would ever do.

Afters:

The swirls on the right of the pic above are from where the tape was.

Also the clarity provided after both was insane. . . For example:

Hope this helps someone. . .

Walk away with this though. HD adapt dries out much faster than FG400. HD Adapt also works much faster than fg400. You will achieve the same results with 2 passes of HD adapt that you will with 3 and it will be easier to remove because it won't dry up. Fg400 doesn't dry up BUT required 3 passes to do the work that needed to be done. HD adapt is cheaper, finishes better with a more aggressive pad AND works faster because it doesn't need to break down the abrasives. It's noticeably faster. Because of this I now use Adapt, Polish, D300 and D301 (subaru's), m205 almost exclusively. That lineup has gotten me through plenty of different things at this point.

Wow, awesome write-up, thanks!
Will definitely be ordering some adapt soon!

I've been tinkering with the car today stripped the wax and hitting with a few different things.

1st I used adapt on the hood and rough. As shook said it cuts pretty quick and finish amazing. I actually found it kind of sticky and was a little harder to get off? I'll probably order some adapt when I run out of FG400 since I think it does finish better but I don't think it's an end all to products. Within the next coupe of days I'll use it on the truck which the paint is absolutely horrible and we will see how deep it can cut with that.

I'm also using Carpro reflect. I LOVE it. It has a an amazing finish and wipes off so easily. One wipe with an MF towel and it comes right off. This I will be buying in the near future and get rid of my sf4500.
