hey guys guess what

guess

BOOM ITS DONE BITCHES
id totally post a video, but im afraid to drive it because the idle is ****ing up lol itl drop to like 500, then shoot up to 1250, then continue that like 4 times until is chills down at 750. so im guessing ill have to contact bama and tell em whats up, ill post a video soon tho :)

Effin Awesome Bro!!!

You might want to try to let the car learn the idle again. It took my car about a week to learn how to idle smoothly again. I know there is a relearn process you can go through but I didn't bother with it because it wasn't too bad. You might want to give that a shot before retuning. Just a thought.

Cool, I was hoping someone would say something. My girlfriends dad said the same thing, so I'll just drive it for a bit, then make sure everything still held together

I mean it could be the tune also because those cams are harder to tune for as far as idle because they run so rough, but I would try letting it settle down on it's own first.

Run the car with the AC on and off too.

Possible to post any videos? Have you had it running yet?

Running lean will kill your motor. I would definitely start checking to make sure everything is tightened, especially your CAI couplers. If you find something letting in unmetered air, fix it, clear the codes, and then try to run it.

My first loaded Bama tune was lean after my cam install, just give them a call and they'll fix it.

Same goes for the timing cover gaskets?

****, gotta replace em because people in the Internet don't know what they saying lol oh well, atleast itl be done
Actually, many people ion the internet DO know what they are talking about - you just have to figure out which ones do and which ones don't. You have several people on here (myself included) telling you they have re-used cam cover gaskets with no leaks (RTV applied to front joint).

I don't know about the timing cover gaskets. I've never pulled the timing cover on this car.

Woohoo! I'm in the positives haha thanks!

Got the timing cover on and working on putting everything else on, jimmy snapped one of the bolts that screws down the valve cover /: and 2 other holes are seizing the bolts, not sure wtf is up with them.
It's only on one side too. But it's a goin. I'll be done by today tho, assuming the snapped bolt is a problem. It's definitely just as bad as my last one tho, it's lines up with the head so no way we can get anything around it. Hopefully I can just ignore it or something and it be fine, 14 other bolts and a gasket, I'm sure itl be aight. Up to jimmy tho
Those are timing cover bolts.

One more day lol need to get two more valve cover bolts because two are bent apparently, also need a vacuum hose or whatever it's called, didn't notice till today that my dick head dog had his way with it. All that's left is hooking back up the wiring harnesses, one valve cover, and all the stuff that hooks into them. Then the bumper and some other ****, but I'm doin that when I get it home.

On a side note, ended up with two bolts that looks like their from the engine, have no clue where they go. I probably spent an hour today eyeing the timing chain cover down looking for a hole that needed to be filled, and no luck. So kind of paranoid about that.
Those are timing cover bolts with integrated studs to hold other stuff (alternator or wiring harness tabs).

I see you got it running. Sounds good!

I'd call Bama and let 'em know whassup.

Your car will have to re-learn its drive cycle.

i was hoping no one would take it like that lol i meant like, in my friends words lol i know what yall say is legit, i dont question that. He just automatically assumes that your a bunch of teenagers with bolt-ons

Nah, but I checked it when I stopped at the restaurant. I'm for sure goin to check with a socket before I drive it again tho. Yeah I did, I might return to stock, upload it again, then clear the code and see if it still popping the code up. Thanks brother!

yeah, i would be careful with it throwing a lean code though, but it wouldnt hurt to call bama right away in the morning and let them know, if nothing else they will revise it some and send out a new tune.
